ICOLMA - Project update 2

This workshop was significant for the ICOLMA project, which addresses the impact of COVID-19 on the livelihoods, mobility and accessibility of marginalized groups. It provided an opportunity to deepen our joint analysis and strengthen our publication strategies to ensure a successful completion of the project in March 2025.

The program included, among other things
- Presentation of key findings: The partners from the respective cities presented findings from their space-time cluster analyses and thematic research. These formed the basis for in-depth discussions on challenges shared by all case studies and country-specific conclusions.
- Livelihood assessment: Illustrative case studies are used to compare the living conditions and strategies of different marginalized groups during the pandemic in order to analyze similarities and differences in the study areas.
- Strategic planning: In collaboration with the PROPASP research project "Planning with Global Comparison", we developed a clear framework for the next project steps in meetings on comparison strategies, dissemination and publication planning. We also discussed possibilities for future collaboration and stronger science communication.
The workshop was a productive step forward that prepared us well for the tasks ahead. The week impressively demonstrated how valuable personal collaboration is for focused discussions and collective reflection. A joint dinner in an informal atmosphere also helped to strengthen collaboration.
